Is hCG completely safe?

hCG is a naturally occurring hormone produced in the body – so it’s 100% safe.

What if I’m vegetarian or vegan?

No problem!  You can still follow the weight loss program, even if you don’t eat meat or animal products.  We’ve included a few protein substitutes just for you. 

I’m lactose intolerant. Can I still do the program?

Yes!  We always offer alternative nutrient sources to cater for food allergies and intolerances.

Will I get hungry?

Sometimes the first few days can be challenging as your body adjusts to eating fewer calories. But once the drops start mobilising your fat stores, you’ll have instant natural appetite control.

What if I get my period on the program?

As your body produces its own hCG during menstruation, you can stop taking the drops until your period ends.  Simply continue on with the eating plan and recommence the drops once your bleeding stops, taking note of the number of drop-free days.  Add these extra days to the end of your overall program.

If I don’t have a regular menstrual cycle will the hCG Diet Australia affect that?

Some patients have experienced changes, even normalisation, to their menstrual cycle while on the program. These changes usually resolve after completing the program. Long-term benefits can be maintained with adherence to your lifetime strategies.

When’s the best time to start the diet?

Choose a time when you won’t be interrupted by social events or engagements where you may be tempted to indulge.  Women, you also need to consider your menses as it’s best to start on the first day your period finishes.

Can I complete the program if I’m nursing a baby?

Unfortunately, no.  When you’re breastfeeding, your fat stores are needed for milk production.

Can I complete the program if I’m pregnant?

The drops should not be taken during pregnancy. 

Will the hCG dietary drops interfere with any medications I am currently taking?

There are no contraindications with commonly prescribed medications for chronic medical conditions.

Should I stop my pharmaceutical medications while I am on the dietary system?

You should never stop your medications unless advised by a competent medical professional.

What about birth control pills or Depo-Provera injections?

The hCG dietary drops do not interact with any type of birth control pills or hormone replacement.  Though some HRT may slow down the weight loss.

Can I do the hCG Diet Australia program if I’ve had a hysterectomy?

Yes.

How does the hCG Diet Australia affect cholesterol levels?

Cholesterol levels will fluctuate. There exists a great deal of emerging evidence to question the entrenched pharmaceutical and medical position on the value of cholesterol markers in the blood, however, the majority of our clients find their cholesterol levels improve according to standard ranges.

Will the hCG Diet Australia help my high blood pressure?

Many of our clients experience decreased blood pressure readings during the program.

Can I continue using my antidepressant medications if I do the hCG Diet Australia?

Yes.

Can I continue using my anxiety medications when following the hCG Diet Australia?

Yes.

Should I discontinue my thyroid medications while completing the hCG Diet Australia?

No pharmaceutical drugs should not be stopped without medical advice. Thyroid medication should be taken first thing in the morning and it is best to wait at least one hour before using your drops.

Should I stop my vitamins while taking the dietary drops?

Dr Simeons noted that with fat resorption, other available vitamins and minerals are recycled. However in our modern-day world with its toxic challenges and soil depletion, we recommend essential support such as digestive enzymes, probiotics, B group vitamins and B12, amongst some others. These assist your digestion and metabolism during the program. Liver support will be important in some cases. Refer to the section “Recommended Support Products” in your information book for further details. Note that low-quality vitamins may interfere with the rate of weight loss, especially synthetic nutrients or if they contain hidden sugars or oils.

Is it fine to use make-up and skincare products?

You can still maintain your daily grooming routine as long as you use products that are completely oil-free. The only exception is 100% jojoba oil.  Being a wax ester it won’t interfere with your weight loss goals. 100% jojoba oil.

How much weight will I lose per day?

Weight loss can vary from person to person, but most of our clients lose an average of 250-300 grams per day.

Why do I need the drops? Can’t I just eat less?

A low-calorie diet will certainly help you lose weight.  But the drops also curb your appetite, improve your mood, burn stubborn fat, and set you up with healthy eating habits for life.

What if I get cravings?

Food addiction is very real – but fear not.  A few days of drops will stabilise your appetite and curb the desire for gluten, sugar, and alcohol consumption. Once these substances are flushed from your system, you won’t even miss them.

Can I use frozen veggies instead of fresh produce?

You sure can.  If it’s more convenient to use frozen products, then it’s ok by us.   The reason we prefer fresh organic veggies is because they help to detox your system.

If I can’t have sugar, are sweeteners ok to use?

Yes, they are.  We recommend herbal sweeteners like Stevia or Xylitol. 

Can I drink alcohol on the program?

The short answer – no.  Especially during Phase 2 when your body is working its hardest to flush toxins and burn fat stores.

Oh no – I cheated! What do I do now?

Straying from the strict program guidelines can certainly set you back.  But don’t stress.  Just jump right back on that saddle asap and you should start to see your weight dropping again after a couple of days.

What if I don’t like skipping breakfast?

While research suggests that skipping breakfast provides the most efficient weight loss success, we get that some people simply love their brekkie.  If that’s the case, you can shuffle things around and eat one of your snacks for breakfast.  Just make sure you don’t exceed your 500- calorie limit.

What should I eat during the loading phase?

Your goal is to eat as many fat grams (preferably the healthy kind) as possible. This will load your system with energy to get you through the next calorie-controlled phase. So, you should aim for at least 250 grams of fat each day, remembering to focus on fat, not sugar or starch.  You can read more about this in the program information pack.

Can I extend my 23-day program?

Of course!  If you’re doing well and feel you could keep going, simply continue on with Phase 2 for up to 40 days (more on this in the program guidelines). 

Can I work on my suntan during the program?

You sure can.  But it’s important that you do not burn.  So, make sure you apply tanning lotion that’s 100% oil-free – otherwise, it’ll disrupt the fat burning process.
