In our experience there are a number of things which can significantly improve your chances of achieving great success on the HCG program. While it’s a simple program, it does come with some challenges – and a few insider secrets could be the difference between you completing the program (which we absolutely hope you do) or quitting before the end. So, to HCG Success – here we go!

1. Do it with a friend or group

Apart from the huge motivational factor of doing this diet with a buddy or group, sharing the experience with a friend means you can cook together, eat together and have a support buddy for when things get tough.

2. Preparation, preparation, preparation!
Firstly, plan the optimum time for your diet. For the 21 day program you need to allow at least six weeks where your calendar is preferably not too booked up with social engagements. Then, plan and prepare meals ahead of time so there is less to do to get your meal together when hunger strikes.

3. Mindset
Remind yourself why you want to do this program and why you want to make it to the very end. Whether you are trying to improve your health, fit into your old clothes, get slimmer for an event or feel more confident, picture yourself having achieved that goal and imagine how good it will feel.

4. Take before photos
Detail the hard truth. This is what you look like, this is what is causing you unhappiness and making you want to change. Be determined and strong about your ambitions.

5. Follow the plan as closely as possible
This program is backed by decades of research and Dr Simeons the pioneer of the HCG diet made particular specifications to improve the success of the diet – including the body’s ability to cope with the low-calorie eating plan. Cheating or not following the diet plan as set out could seriously impact your chances of success.

6. Meet the water quota
Not only will water help you fill up your tummy, it also helps flush toxins out of your body and promotes better well-being.

7. Take nutritional supplements
The right supplements can help with your energy levels, mood swings and headaches. We recommend probiotics, digestive enzymes, Vitamin C, B12 and Vitamin D – whether you enjoy a few minutes soaking up some sunshine or take a Vitamin D supplement.

8. Sit down and savour each meal
Eat mindfully and pay attention to the experience of eating. If possible, try not to watch TV, look at your phone or eat on the run. Take notice of what you are putting into your mouth and how much food you need to feel satisfied.

9. Fibre.
Stay on top of your fibre requirements to ensure your bowel movements stay regular. Take your daily psyllium and drink plenty of water to avoid the uncomfortable and sluggish feeling of constipation.

10. Reward yourself for reaching milestones.
This is so important! Make it something special – a massage, pedicure, facial, new book or new piece of clothing. Steer clear of food rewards!

We hope you find these tips valuable in your HCG journey. With the right information, tools and preparation you can achieve great things!
