The hCG Diet Australia – Spicy Stewed Beef
Suitable for the hCG diet Phase 2
- 100 grams of lean minced beef (all fat removed)
- 1 large tomato
- 2 cups of water
- Season to taste with spices such as Chilli Powder, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Himalayan Salt.
First of all, make sure all excess fat has been removed, then place the beef on grill tray for a minute or two to sweat out any remaining fat.
Then crumble or cut the beef into small pieces.
Transfer the beef, tomato, water and seasoning in to a crock pot, slow cooker or sauce pan.
For the saucepan, bring the mixture to the boil and then turn down heat and simmer for at least 1 hour. For the crock pot or slow cooker, cook on high for 30 minutes, then turn to low for an hour. Can be stewed in a crock pot all day long if desired.
When ready, serve on to a plate, garnish with coriander or parsley and service with a vegetable of your choice from the approved list of hCG phase 2 vegetables. This dish is great with cauliflower rice!
The stew includes 1 meat protein serving and 1/2 vegetable serving.
If you have a physically active job and are following the 800 calorie diet plan, then increase the very lean minced beef portion to 150 grams.
