What is hCG Phase 3?
Phase 3 of the hCG program is the stabilisation phase, allowing you to start the process of setting your new weight and maintaining it. This important phase refers to the period after you finish your drops, and lasts for the same number of days as Phase 2.
There are some strict rules:
– You must weigh yourself and record the weight each day
– You mustn’t gain more than 900g from your final phase 2 weight
– Any increase in weight over 900grams must be addressed on that day
– You must avoid sugars
– You can’t eat starchy vegetables – potato, pumpkin or sweet potato
Also keep in mind at the end of Phase 2 there are 2 days where you stop the drops but continue on the 500 calorie program, prior to commencing Phase 3.
Our Maintenance Recipe book and meal planner offers a suggested eating plan. Adhere to this to achieve the greatest success. The best way to gradually increase your calories is by increasing consumption of protein and healthy fats. You can eat of all the foods from Phase 2 of the program, adding in the following on a gradual basis:
Meat: Veal, lamb, turkey, duck, shellfish
Vegetables: Silverbeet, green beans, brocolli, cauliflower
Dairy: start in moderation: butter, eggs, cottage cheese, hard cheese – no milk or yoghurt
Fruit: mandarin, nectarine, pears, plums, no more than two serves a day
Nuts and seeds: almonds, walnuts, macadamia nuts, pumpkin seeds, hazelnuts, brazil nuts, pecans, tahini
Almond meal & coconut flour – no other grains are allowed
Avoid alcohol due to its high sugar content. Continue on your psyllium husks, vitamins, minerals, probiotics, herbal and green tea. Start to step up exercise whether walking, swimming, jogging, cycling, yoga etc.
